Calculate your grade point average from your course grades and credit hours for college, high school, semester, or cumulative GPA.
How GPA is Calculated
GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated by multiplying the grade points for each course by its credit hours, summing all the products, and dividing by total credit hours.
For college GPA, enter each course with its credit hours. For high school GPA, use 1 credit for each full-year class unless your school assigns different credits. You can also use the dedicated college GPA calculator or high school GPA calculator for more specific guidance.
GPA = (Sum of Grade Points × Credits) / Total CreditsGrade Point Values
