Most colleges award credit for a score of 3 or higher on the AP Stats exam. However, selective colleges often require a 4 or 5. Check your target college's AP credit policy for specific requirements.
On this model a 5 starts at a 70% composite. Performing evenly across every section, that is 30 of 42 on Multiple Choice, 28 of 40 on Free Response. Because the composite is a weighted average, a stronger section can offset a weaker one — these are the balanced targets, not the only route.
